Sierra Leone Female Parliamentary Caucus (SLFPC)
The Sierra Leone Female Parliamentary Caucus (SLFPC) is a cross-party platform comprising all women Members of Parliament in Sierra Leone. It works collectively to promote gender equality, women’s empowerment, and gender-responsive legislation and oversight.
The Caucus was established to strengthen women’s collective voice in Parliament and to advance women’s rights, leadership, and representation in governance.
Membership consists of all elected and appointed women Members of Parliament in Sierra Leone, regardless of political party affiliation.
The Caucus’ mandate is to:
Advocate for gender equality and women’s rights
Promote gender-responsive legislation and policies
Strengthen women’s leadership and participation in governance
Support oversight on issues affecting women, girls, and vulnerable groups
No. The SLFPC is a non-partisan body. Members work together across party lines on issues of common interest affecting women and national development.

The Caucus reviews Bills, proposes amendments, sponsors gender-responsive legislation, and advocates for laws that promote women’s rights, equality, and protection.
